I have a 2012 Discovery 40X. I know it has DRL (daytime running lights) that keep the head lights on when the transmission is in gear. Not crazy about them, but just accept it. The one thing that still bothers me (after 6 years) is the running lights don't turn off once they are on until you turn off the engine. I like that the running lights automatically turn on with the wipers and obviously the light switch on the dash works, but once they are on, they stay on even when the wipers are off or the headlight switch is turned off. 

Anyone else's rig do this? Or have you figured out a way to turn them off without killing the engine?
